Where do you guys go for moral and emotional support?

I'm having... issues with my parents at the moment, which means I can't trust their moral and emotional support.
I can't move out (no real job), I don't really have friends in the area and I'm not sure if I should share my problems with the rest of the family (my grandfather lives fairly close by).

So for the past couple of years I've had issues I haven't had anybody to talk to about, and it's getting extremely frustrating.

Several online friends have expressed a willingness to help, but I haven't figured out how to phrase things in writing so that my real feelings are conveyed.
(one friend in particular has given me his phone number so we can talk, but the logistics of making a long-distance call have been rather difficult to figure out)

How would you guys handle this?
Any suggestions?

If you have access to a webcam, you could always talk to your friend through that.

Sometimes, it might be a good thing to research who you wish to talk to about your problems (getting bad advice isn't going to help your situation). There are a lot of people on the forums that can help and are more local ... Speaking from a few years of experience, talking with someone older than yourself will give you a fresh, common sense perspective that may be of help to you. Someone older that has gone thru some of what you are currently experiencing? Just a thought ...
