Art Institute Furs

I used to be at the Art Institute taking Game Art and Design... Can't finish though. They won't let me back even with my doctor's note. Don't ask about the appeal process, I already tried. They got my hopes up by saying I was accepted again then dashed it to pieces about a week before the next quarter was to start. I had fun there, but I'm looking at a new school... Once I pay off the stupid dept for useless classes I can't finish.

I'm graduating this week and well, my AI experience as a whole has been up and down. The teachers are mostly great, but the rest of the faculty at the school, specially those who run the career services offic, registrar, etc. To many issues with them XD I'll be glad to get out and be done with it.

Sorry to hear of you hardships Ceo, that's gotta suck when you don't see the end of the tunnel. Discipline can be a challenge to get, or at least have a certain goal.

Talking about Art institute, there's an exhibit next Friday which I plan to attend. Graduating students showcasing their work.

What program? They usually set up the rooms the same every time. that will help me narrow it, I go to all the portfolio shows... if for nothing else, to see my competition >.>

That sucks dude. All is not lost though, do you have the equipment at home to learn on your own? Once you're in the business you have to do a lot learning on your own just to keep up with the trends. Did you learn enough to get your feet wet and get some resources/links/make some friends/contacts? If I were in your position I would be fueled to succeed by pure spite. All of the big schools have reputations like this sadly. Saying that, if you're in game design, have you checked out Think Tank in North Van? I've heard very good things about them.
