Anyone got any suggestions of brands and stores of were to buy a good pen?

I personally use Alvin Tech Liners. Though, you'd need someone from the states to have them mailed too, then mail them to you. As this brand is only sold in the states. They are pretty good i must admit~ :3

Copic Liners are pretty good. REALLY good ink from what i've seen.

My first Pens that i used for inking were the Faber-Castel: PITT Artist Pen. I still use them now and again :3 They are fairly cheap as well. Just be aware if you are using alcohol based markers with them. As they will bleed a bit if you arent careful.

I suggest looking into Micron pens. From what i have used with them, they're pretty good.

I forgot about those little brush ones. Gotta figure out where to actually get them now.

I always hated how scratchy Microns were. My favorites (when I still inked traditionally) were Pentel Energel pens. The ink rolls on smooth and dries almost instantly. Well to tell the truth, I always scanned in my sketch, tweaked it in Photoshop to make it a light blue then printed it out and inked on top of the printout then scanned it back in to work on digitally. I am not sure how it fares over top of pencil sketches. Though, some people put their sketch on a lightbox and put a new paper on top and ink on that, so that would also work nicely.

Sailors are rather nice pigment-brush type pens if the stiffness of a Micron is too much for you. I personally use Prisma fine-tips and Sailors, with the Prismacolors sitting about in the middle in sharpness between Microns and Sailors.

Seems crazy, but I find the best budget ones for the job are sharpie micro pens.

[Edit]
Feel free to point out huge flaws in my statement, its just opinion out of what I've used so far.

i`ve used 'uniball micro' for years, almost exclusively for my artwork.
you should join the "Ethereal friends of professor whovianart" on facebook, if anything, to find out where i currently am, or will be.

I live by my Sakura Pigma Sensei liners. :3 They're manga liners and I've found them in more than a couple art shops. Most notably, Julie Anne's in Chilliwack and House of Fine art in Abby, but I'm sure you could find them in lots of other places. They come in .1, .3, .4, .6 and 1 sizes, also in brush and chisel like the prisma liners. I just like the softness of the tip and the depth of black in the ink.
Obviously retaurded.
