Ok so I have little skill in sewing and my mate brought me a something that was going to be thrown out. It one of those really big stiff tiger plushies. His chest is ripped open a bit and he is dirty.

What I'm needing is someone to either help teach me how to repair him and clean him or see if anyone would tell me how much it would cost to get it done.

I also wanted to know if its possible to make him all black but not destroy the fur.

help or advice is greatly needed :)

Sewing.
For plushy wounds I use something like a reversed mattress stitch. You'll see it on almost any plush where the filling hole is closed by hand.

Washing.
I just destuff the plush and throw it into the washing machine with a little soap. Hang it up to air dry.

For plushies that can't be destuffed, I have an Apolstery machine that can clean them. and an easy 4 step method using 1. a bucket or sink full of soapy  water,( do NOT dip plushy into the water, use a cloth dipped into the bucket or sink.) 2 the machine with just water to rinse/suck dry, and 3. air dry with a fan and 4. fluffing with a soft brush. this is a good way of cleaning fursuit heads and mascot heads, something I learned at work.

As for making it all black, you'd probably need someone with airbrush equipment  :3
