I like this. I like this a lot. If I weren't so gosh-darn poor I would buy hundreds of them and post them everywhere. XD

Edit: okay, so i actually went to your link and read the journal, :p I'm going to trrrryyy to draw something. I make no promises that it will be anywhere near as awesome as yours though.

starting with a little joke, then some real thoughts.
Whenever someone comes to my door and asks "Would you like to help support breast cancer?" I can help but say "I'm sorry but morally i can't help anything that kills people, i prefer to support people with cancer" :P

I'm sorry but there is a 99% effective cure for cancer already, but because it would only cost 1$ per person to cure them its not "As cost effective as chemo therapy" and therefore not produced or sold by drug companies who in turn supply our health system, instead of finding a new cure why don't we go Occupy Pharmaceutical Companies like at Wall Street.
in the world there are 7 cures for cancer, only 3 are used as follows: Chemo, Removal of infected tissue, bone marrow transplants. the other 4 do as follows as i can never remember their names: Cause your own body to attack cancer cells more efficiently as if it were a virus, break down the cell walls of only mutated cells, prevent spreading and allows your body to kill the cells itself, cuts off the body part that got infected (awful if you have brain cancer)

I want to see a cure get to people with the disease that kill both my grandma and grandpa.

Despite what some conspiracy theorist sites and articles claim, dichloroacetate is not a magic cure for cancer. It's been known about for ages. It certainly does have positive effects on some cancers, but others (brain and colon) it has no effect whatsoever or worse, a negative effect. It's also slightly carcinogenic itself, and nowhere near as effective as that article states. Do you honestly think in this day and age of Wikileaks or other anonymous info-dumps that a vast pharmaceutical conspiracy to hide something so profound as a universal cure for cancer would survive?

You definitely have a point there Selkit. I do agree.

In this day and age a lot of information is misleading. There would be too much of an uproar if this was true and this thing cured all cancers.

just my opinion anyways.

This is the way i choose to help and i really haven't found a better way. This is also a campaign being held by another that I've chosen to partake in in hopes of raising some money to help.

Thank you for the information Lt ReiStark, its definitely peeked my interest though. I think i might do some research just to see what i can find.

well, if we're talking about pharmaceutical conspiracies and whatnot ANYway...

Anyone heard of pot curing cancer? I've read a few articles, in medical journals, not off pro-pot websites, saying that some of the endocannabinoids in cannabis fight cancer, cause tumours to shrink, etc. There's a family who used hash oil to treat their 2 year old's brain cancer. He was on chemo and all that jazz, but so sickly from it that the doctors didnt think he'd live to see his next birthday. I think they said there was no improvement on the inoperable brain tumour, but i dont really remember.

Then his dad snuck the hash oil into the kid's feeding tube, and there was drastic improvement. Or here, i'll just post the video.
2-year-old medical marijuana cardholder

the conspiracy part is pharmaceutical companies creating patents of synthetic marijuana, since they can't patent the plant itself, and encouraging the government (particularly the US government) to keep real marijuana illegal.

...that video makes me cry, every time.

It all depends on genetics honestly. Medicinal drugs have been proven to help a good many people. Make them live years longer because they aren't as stressed and a bunch of other reasons. It doesn't work for all people but for those it does help, it helps a great deal.

Its surprising since the government wants to make money, and they could make so much money over legalizing that stuff. Almost amazing they aren't going "MONEYMONEYMONEYMONEY" as per usual. lol
