lol just Davie street in general is a messed up spot, especially in them bars... had creepers,stalkers, random flamers coming up close to me and random people trying to touch my boyfriend inappropriately

I wish 70 Below was still open in Nanaimo. They had a kickass dance pole and cage, cheesy lighting, a good MC, and the best karaoke nights in town. People would actually get down and dance with you when you were singing. Haven't been to either of the ones in Vic yet.

LOL, we have this bar on the mainland in New Westminster called '57 Below' it's currently under renovation, but it has the tastiest & cheaply affordable wings on wed/sat. :D

Just like ordinary bars they can range from cozy to sleazy dive.  The union street back home was my regular spot, even had a real fireplace going. Got a little packed on show nights, but normally got quieter as people filtered out to go to the club. Still haven't found a place like that here yet.
Also, you should always expect at least one person to make a pass at you, if you're seen as "fresh meat". More so if the place has a reputation for such. It's a little naive to think otherwise.
