I am looking just mainly for nicknacks for my room, neat electronics and such, maybe furniture! Possibly an artist to suggest paint schemes. I figure i want to spent about 1000$ or less fixing up my new room in my new house to be my little sanctuary, out of those pesky dorms for good.

Edit: looking for good artists for commissions as well, i forgot to mention that!

For awesome, one-of-a-kind items for your room, I suggest www.etsy.com
Your wish is mine to twist.

If it's furniture you're looking for second hand stores have some good stuff for great prices. Many people will throw out and give stuff away simply because it's out of style. You can find some cheap stuff in very good condition if you look.

If you need mirrors, I happen to have a few. Let me know if you're interested. I'll measure them and get back to you.  ;)

Astraithious

@blue awesome website, pretty entertaining stuff!

@redwaldo i think the mirrors i could use however transporting them up to kamloops might not be cost effective or safe xP

Still looking for more interesting ideas! and artists lol

Temrin

What would you be looking for exactly commission wise? Posters? What subject matter? etc?

Astraithious

large posters , preferably fantasy. D&D pics would be amazing as well.

Ah i see. Well i'm open to all anthro related work and certain fantasy creatures as well. (I'm just not that great at human faces XD )
Not sure if my style would interest you at all but, i will be opening up for commissions quite soon and could put you on the waitlist if you'd like (you get first dibs on slots when i open.)

You can find most of my art on FA (http://www.furaffinity.net/user/temrin) if you want to take a look.
Commission prices can be found on my website: WildElemetStudios.com

As for D&D stuff, you might try some of the local game stores :3 Or i'm sure you can order images online as well.

Hrm, yeah getting them that far would be difficult.   XP
Do you want the measurements anyways just in case you're in the area?

Astraithious

Alrighty here goes. . .

1.)
Small gold leafed mirror
17.5 inches wide
32 inches high
Frame is damaged at the top, a peice of the floral detailing has cracked off and needs to be re-glued. Wood frame. Otherwise the mirror is in good condition.

2.)
Cream framed mirror
circa 1950's
30 inches wide
26.7 inches high
Has a wide arch spanning the top, otherwise it's square. Wood frame, excellent condition.

3.)
Large teak stained mirror
33.5 inches wide
44.5 inches high
Odd curvy shape, I measured it by it's widest spots as it isn't completely square. There is a noticeable crack in the bottom right corner which has been glued back together and glazed over. It won't break again but it's very apparent. Wood frame, excellent condition aside from that crack.

4.)
Narrow gold leafed mirror
circa 1980's
15.5 inches wide
48.5 inches high
Interesting rococo detailing all around the frame. It has a short glass top table that is meant to sit beneath it if you're interested. It would be nice if I could get rid of both of them as a set. This one isn't free, I'd like to negotiate a price. Frame is wood, near perfect condition.

5.)
Antique carved mirror
circa 1910's
17.5 inches wide
26.5 inches high
Unique arte nouveau carvings all around the frame. Seems to have been repainted twice, outer coat is discoloured, looks as if it was once supposed to be gold. Beneath that is black paint. Has several scuffs to the back of the frame, but they aren't noticeable. The wood is a bit fragile and I would recommend replacing the string on the back if you plan to hang it. Condition is questionable. It's a functional mirror but I think it could use a new paint job and a new string.

Mirrors 1-3, 5 are all free of charge. We'd be happy just to get rid of them. Number 4 is still in use though I'm willing to part with it for the sake of making more space, we'll negotiate a price. There are also three more mirrors we have, but their condition is so sad I doubt anybody can use them for anything other than garden ornaments or scrap glass. Let me know if anyone is interested. If you want I have the dimensions for the other three.
I'll clean and give them a more thorough examination to any if you seriously want them. I can post pics as well, but I won't bother unless you're actually interested in taking them.
I don't have a car, so you'll have to pick them up.

Coolbeans. When do you want to pick it up?
I'll have to find a way to get my dad out of the house, he thinks he can sell it and doesn't really want to get rid of it.  It's been sitting in our old place since the '70's though, it's dated, big, dirty and it's got a big crack in the corner. My mom has given me permission to give it away to whoever wants it so don't worry. I'll give it a really good cleaning before you pick it up as well. If I notice anymore cracks or scratches I'll let you know.
