Thread view after posting

Since I can't post in the Forum Updates board (please feel free to move this post there after it gets corrected):

Is it possible to make it so that rather than returning to the list of threads after a post, it reloads the last page of the thread with the reply shown? I don't know how others feel about this since it would obviously be a significant change, but I like to have a quick look over my new post as a matter of course. I suppose I could use Preview, but it seems like staying in the same thread is the usual for most board software anyway.

There's an option in your profile under look and layout preferences called Return to topics after posting by default.   Check the box, and there you go.
