Things to complain about

Min wage isn't meant for people to live on their own/with a car etc. It's the bare wage that a person needs to not be homeless/starving.

Living on your own and having a car are both luxuries that come with having a better job.

I suppose I am lucky to be living on the Island. At the moment, I am only making about $600/mo. I have to share a small house with two other people, take the bus and do no fun stuff (only once in a while) but I can make it. I don't think I could do it on the mainland.

lol my mom flipped out on me earlier... apparently me having guys as friends is a big threat to her and she disapproves of me having any contact with guys whatsoever, without thinking I'm going to have sex with them all.. x'D oh man, she really needs to take a chill pill.... *facepalms*

I went out earlier to buy sushi for dindin for my mom and I; there's a nice sushi place on Kingsway near my house and usually after 7pm, a lot of dishes are 40% off. So I get there and I look at the menu, make a decision and place my order, wait, wait, wait... then the waitress finally brings my food in a bag and the bill. I take ONE glance at the bill and notice that my total isn't what it's supposed to be, then I look above the total to see what it is, and it's a Bento Box A for $9.90 my immediate and stupid reaction is tell her that she brought me the wrong bill... the second she walks away to go get the right one, I mutter to myself, '...damnit..' so almost having the chance to save money and pay for a $10 bill, my mistake makes me pay $25 instead... lol this mistake is gonna bug me for who knows how long, hah...  :'( /lesigh/

Seriously, fans need to get a life. So the Canucks lost, it doesn't mean they should riot downtown and trash it because of a cup made of Stainless Steel. My mom told me that they also burned a car in downtown. I think it's pathetic and seriously poor sportsmanship and they give Canucks fans a really bad name. I hope your mom and brother make it back home safe. Thank god I'm not a sports fan, even if I was, I wouldn't be as dumbfounded as the people who are uselessly rioting downtown ... >;/

Several cars have burned.  CBC and CTV have unending coverage.

QE theater is locked down.  They are not allowing anyone out until things can settle.
