So my friend sold me her PSP. And whenever I put in a game, the character keeps moving to the right. I know its because of the analog stick and I dunno what to do. I cant take it apart cause I dont wanna break it and I dunno where or how to replace the stick. Can this be fixed or am I f****ed?

Renwaldo

Take it into an electronics repair shop. This happens all the time on game systems, it's likely just a broken spring that needs replacing.

I used to say "Google it" for everything, but now my advice has changed to "Youtube it" - watching someone do something in real-time is loads better than reading tutorials.

I haven't watched them but there's a couple videos up when I search "PSP analog stick fix"

Sounds like it's already broken  :D

I'll bet I could fix it, unless you need special screwdrivers to open it up or something.

I may or may not be able to lend a hand with this, Van. I have a full set of security bits and technical drivers. However, I am not going to go out to Vancouver, just to tool around with your PSP. Chances are, it's a contact that's stuck, or the contact slides are out of calibration. If you're in Guildford for whatever reason, poke me.

You should take it to the repair shop, or send it back to sony.
Sony is pretty good with these kinds of things. I wrote to them about my pair of headphones breaking, They ended up sending me a brand new pair of dj headphones. The ones I broke were crap. c: Pretty sweet.

Haha, sucks for you. :l
I didn't show my Warranty for my headphones and they just sent me a new one.

Van_Fox

Because you probably had the warranty still on then :|

Brittany-shadowwolf

I never had warranty on them in the first place. :l
They were a crappy pair of headphone I bought, I didn't even keep the receipt.
Anyways sucks for you that your psp toggle doesn't work. Sony is coming out with a new Psp anyways.

My friends ex boyfriend is fixing it for me, so it should be good as new :3
