I managed to get the full season, subtitled, of Wagaya no Oinari sama (Our home's Fox deity) a few years back when it first came out. Now, it has been licensed for north America but I have yet to see any DVD copies of it.

Spice and Wolf is very odd (man meets wolf spirit; wolf spirit teaches him about business) but well-done.

CORRECTION! the catch line is actually spicy "wolf meats merchant" ^_^ well according to the novel cover(Japanese cover that is) but you are right on the other part~

Has anybody mentioned Kyo Kara Mao? its about a boy who gets flushed down the toilet and ends up in another world. very standard plot but good action and jokes, the main character accidentaly proposes marage to another guy by b**** slapping him across the face for being rude.

Bleach and Naruto are pretty popular. I haven't watched them myself, but I have heard they are good.
Also Soul Eater, Zombie Loan, Highschool of the Dead, WhichBlade, D.grey man, Pumpkin scissors, Maid war, Rosario + Vampire, Tri gun, Chobits, Chi's sweet home, Guran Lagen, Durarara are all great animes. Ive seen them all and can say there worth wasting your life on. Thought I would add those onto the list of awesome.

lol I heard that it actually makes 90% more sence in japanese than english. with the addition of probabally better dubbing.

Planetes. No seriously. It was awesome. Great dub. Great scifi, awesome characters. Realistic near future. I liked it a lot.

I've read the first two books of Planetes.  It's deep, and great.  I might have to check the anime out see how it is!

FMA was wonderful, but honestly if you watch it, ONLY watch FMA Brotherhood.  It's much closer to the Manga, which has a MUCH better, deeper, and darker plot.  The original anime was good, but the manga - and what I've seen of brother - is way better.
