Hi I'm currently looking for a roommate to share a one bedroom living room apartment at Haro and Bute , with me, i have taken the living room and im trying to rent out the bedroom.

The rent unfortunately is a little steep at 600 a month but that also includes electric and extreme high speed internet with Shaw, the bedroom is furnished with a twin sized bed as well as the apartment is fully stocked with cutlery and cooking supply's.

The ideal time I'm looking for a roommate is Feb-Mar.

The Buildings rules allow no pets but also has a locked bike room, and gym with sauna

please also note couples are also welcome as I don't discriminate being gay my self

true but the location is right near Robson and thurlow plus its a price that includes all utilitys i make 10 and hour and i make rent every time

zenia

wow. Rent (and utilities) on a 1br there are $1200 then? I am so glad to be living in Nanaimo. I just got a 3br (well, it is 2br plus a dining room that has been changed into a bedroom) for $950/mo plus utilities.

whats important about robson & thurlow? they are just another set of intersections to most of us. Up the street from me for a 2br apartment goes for 750 including utilitys.

That would be at the very top end of my price range, but I may be able to swing it if need be... I need to find somewhere by the end of the month.

I may be interested. Especially because of the location. I tend to be a bit of a homebody (for now), hope that's ok.
What is this I don't even. What I put here?

that's not too bad, i'm paying $533 rent, $22.50 for phone and internet and ~$30 for heat

if i didnt already have this place i'd be in

Dude Robson and Thurlow is in the heart of the downtown of one of the best cities in the world. It's kind of a big deal.

that is a great location, but i like where i live too, right near some asian markets with cheap and exotic foods

I agree with Ember,

Location Location Location.

Of course places in surrey are cheaper!  It's surrey?  Tunnels and bridges away from downtown.  A 500sq ft condo downtown with no parking and no storage is at least $300,000+.    That's around $1450 on a 5 year fixed at current rates 4.14% over 30 years. Plus property Taxes and Strata fees Renting for less would be a very poor move.

So the price is really good if its only $1200 a month split 2 ways considering this rental has most likely been owned for a while and wasn't purchased at current mortgage values

Some of us like to be close to downtown and stanley park and the fresh coast air!

Not to mention deep cove and close to the ski hills etc.

This is a Really good price for a professional going to school or working in the core.

Good luck in finding a room mate!

Wolffie

thanks for the hope but still looking cuz i don't really wanna move back to surrey

the room is already furnished ?... your asking 600 for a room that someone can't even bring their own stuff into ? wtf ?
