Out of curiosity, Tony, are the birds with the 80-400?

I still have 1500 pics from Yellowstone a year and a half ago that I haven't done up (I despise postprocessing), but I have a couple of them up here.

Yeah, most of them are with that one. I finally found the right settings to get the depth of field a little more effective with it. One of these days I need to get a teleconverter to really extend it...

Yeah, the idiosyncrasies of really long lenses...

Glad you're getting some use out of it, in any case. I keep thinking of picking up the Olympus 70-300, which I hear is pretty decent (not to mention it's lighter than the faster 50-200, has longer reach, and is about a third the price). Being limited to 108mm equivalent kind of sucks, though I'm sure the rangefinder fanatics would string me up for saying that. ;)

Almost did up some more Yellowstone pics yesterday but then I got distracted. Soon, I swear. I'll actually post some of them here properly as well as on my Flickr.

Nice hummingbird - that lighting's unique for hummers, and you look to have caught it nicely.

For the regular 4/3 system, right, not the micro 4/3?

I've eyed micro 4/3, but I just don't think I can justify the outlay considering how little I seem to be using my camera of late.

I DO need to get my busted flash fixed, though... stupid frizzfrazzin' thing. They want $100 for that, which I guess is still less than $300 for a new one.

Runix

i never got to take many pictures before my camera poofed, but i still have some of them.

i make signatures <3

Nice pic btw :3
There are 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those that don't.

Arooo!

I should actually properly display the couple Yellowstone pics rather than just linking off to them...
