Minecraft - now with server!

What makes Minecraft unique is everything is made of large, blocky cubes - you can build them up or tear them down into whatever shape you wish.  Make towering castles, deep holes, or pixel art, whatever you like.

Single player Minecraft (survival mode) places you in a randomly generated world with nothing but your bare...hand.  Right off you're racing to build a fort to hole up for the night in - because at night all sorts of blocky creatures come out to kill you and take your stuff.  If you survive until morning then you emerge, and start to build tools, digging implements, and weapons from materials harvested from your environment, and then you start digging...to find ore to build better tools, and so on.  You can also hunt animals for food and leather, plant seeds and trees for food and wood, and even use certain materials to create circuits and logical gates (some dude built a 16-bit computer INSIDE Minecraft...it hurts my head)

Underground you can find creepy monsters, vast cave networks, lava flows, floods, and treasure!



Multiplayer is a different beast altogether, as monsters and mining has been deactivated - however you can still build anything from cities to underground bunkers to pixel art - and it will all be saved on a server:

I've set up a BCFurries multiplayer server where you can log in and build stuff.  The sky's the limit as to what you can build there - just don't go deleting other people's stuff!

i used to play this game all the time last year
though most of it was for destructive use and being obnoxious.
