I'm usually the voice of reason, but fuck it. As if the fandom didn't have enough problems, we're going to start picking and choosing who we allow and don't allow in a "free form" art project based on our own shit. While we're at it, why don't we start gassing furs en masse if they don't meet our definition of furry? Create a master race, perhaps? Maybe joining the community should come with a few free shrink visits. Considering the amount of shit furs have to go through OUTSIDE of our community, I would think that every conceivable effort to not act like twelve year olds would be made, but I guess I just put more faith in people than they deserve. I'm not entirely sure why there aren't more pissed off people in this thread; I wasn't even directly involved and the behaviour displayed pisses me off, because it reflects badly on all of us. Being a fur isn't about what kind of fur you are, it's more about community and a shared interest, and as soon as that kind of behaviour is shown, we're no better than people who bash us and reject us because we're different.
