I've got a little bit of stuff at http://gdmitchell.livejournal.com/ and a whole bunch more that I need to do up and post.

I primarily use an Olympus E-1 digital SLR with a 14-54mm (28-108mm 35mm equivalent) lens.

I do a lot of photography, though I don't consider myself an expert. A lot of it is in the other part of this site at http://bcfurries.com/gallery2/main.php

I also experiment with things like Photosynth, Panoramio, and Wikimedia commons

I am a photographer my circumstance. I don't claim to be wonderful at it but after working for Nikon for a year and a half, I figured since I know every feature of the cameras and have to explain day in and day out to people why their pictures suck, I should probably get my own camera and use that knowledge to take pictures that don's suck.

Here's my Flickr...

I just started adding to it, so it should get a bit bigger soon. So far just some pictures from out at my dad's.

I have some older photos on my own server (http://www.mothx3.com/gallery/), a smattering of them on my FA Gallery (http://www.furaffinity.net/gallery/atnarko/), and thousands more that I haven't uploaded anywhere. In September of 2003, I started out with a then $1400 (I bought it new!) Canon PowerShot G5, which I used extensively for mostly colour shots, before branching off into Black & White, Near-Infrared with a Hoya R72 filter, and then fully-manual shots since the G5 has both manual and auto settings. The following year, I was given a 1977 Nikon FM body with three lenses - absolutely, totally, wonderfully MANUAL. This is now my preferred camera, and I almost exclusively shoot in Black & White films (Ilford XP2/400 & Kodak CN400), but this February, I started experimenting with colour film and coloured filters for a pseudo-BW feel, which has resulted in some really nifty effects (as can be seen in red, on my FA Gallery). I might shoot a blue roll, and a yellow, but green looks like drab mud and needs a lot of light to look good. Red is a fabulous Black & White substitute, because every other colour comes out near-black and makes strong contrast. Multi-stacking filters creates a vignette for artistic shots - this, I discovered by accident, and hated, but then later grew to love its unique look (examples of vignetting, at Blackie Spit, in South Surrey, using Ilford XP2/400 scanned negatives for its own sepia tone: http://www.furaffinity.net/full/918420/ & http://www.furaffinity.net/full/918413/). My camera is two years older than me, but has yet to show its age. I have taken it to Toronto, Seattle, and all over the Lower Mainland. Film is glorious!

My subjects are primarily macro floral, textural, and shadow-focused. I shoot the things that landscape and scene photographers miss & ignore!

Oh, so we're doing photography over here, huh? Cool, I can spam another thread with my stuff.

My Flickr account holds all of my recent shots. I do animals, close-up of flowers and plants, scenics, and would be happy to do portraits when I get my paws on some models. *g*

You should buy some more of my Minolta lenses!

Silver. Do the minolta lenses have the same mount as the nikons?

We'll see how my poker efforts go, I'll let you know. *g*

Elnath: Minolta won't work with Nikon mounts, no. If they did, I might have gone Nikon last time around for the body. =)
