Right now, the "Events for all communities" forum is the only one that users have to be logged in to view.

This is so addresses of housemeets, etc aren't wide open without permission.

Is this good or should one have to be logged in to view any of the events groups?
Should one have to be logged in to view any of the groups at all?

Should users have to be manually approved to view any of the non-public groups?

Should there be an 18+ only group?

Any suggestions for additional groups?

Maybe you could put "Gaming" in its own little sub area, rather then all on the main page? makes sense to me...

In my opinion, events should be viewed by members only. All new accounts should be approved by an admin, before alowing access.

we should have an 19+ asub forum, all Bdays should be approved by an admin befor access is alowed.

admin previews are good to prevent trolls, bots and adbots. From my experience, ad bots can spam the hell out of a forum to the point of
ruining it. This is based on my own wxperience as admin on three oither forums, two of which is mine.

I think you should be logged in to view furry events forums.

If you do deside to open an 18+ only forum, for legal reasons and liabilitys, you may want to consider an age verification policy.

I don't know that an adult forum is really necessary. It's not like there aren't ten million other furry-oriented adult forums around, and then you get into issues of age verification and such which can be a pain in the ass.

Just my 2c, though. I'm not opposed to adult stuff in principle, I just question whether this forum actually needs it.

mArZiPaN!

Yeah adult why?
This a community board I think the focus can be maintained and we'll end up with a better end product. If another board is needed why not make it a sister/brother board not strictly linked but connected?

I think I agree here, we don't really need an 18+ forum.

"BC Furries Gone Wild".

I can just see some random furry, yelling out "woo!  it's my birthday!"  then taking off his shirt, and dancing around while drunk...I wonder why that's such a vivid image in my head...

Oh yeah...my last birthday...I remember now...damn alcohol...

Oh yeah...Hehe...I forgot What I was originally gonna say:  in the events forum, there are forums for: Lower mainland, Vancouver isle, fraiser valley, Kewlona, and everywhere outside of BC.  what about the rest of BC?  the central interior?  The north?  do we not exist!  D:  OMG!  do I not exist?!?  O_O
Bananas, like people, come in many shapes, sizes, and colors.  Each is different, but each is great in it's own unique way.  -A quote from a manager I once had

The Kelowna events board is dead right now. We could repurpose it.

Kaji

We could always add another section for the more northern locations. But there are a lot of furs in the Kelowna area, they just don't know about these forums yet.
