Hello!

Long time Canadian Lynx.  Usually sneaking around the less populated routes so community is a new thing, but excited to meet some new folks.

A Blerb:
Outdoors, Game Development/Gaming, and Content Creation are all loves of mine.  While a very shy/conserved person in public (a personal rule of 90% stealth), it has been these passions that have allowed me to meet a few amazing fuzzy individuals including my Parkour friend, games industry co-workers, and loving wuffie-wife.  Through much dangling of yarn & plates of catnip left just out of safe reach, these awesome people have coaxed me out of from under the couch & out the front door, encouraging me to meet the community.

Always looking for others to run around clambering with.  -Lynx

are you a programmer or are you more affiliated with the art side of things? I make 3D models in Zbrush in my spare time myself.

I know some Parkour people, that's pretty cool! Welcome! :D

@Owl:
Programing is weak/rusty, art is developing.

I work heavily in the design side and content creation.  This allows me to partner with programmers, artists, and directors during the designing phase of a game.  After a game kicks into high-gear I usually end up taking amore Quality Analysis role (QA for lack of better terms), and spend most my year until the next game training in new QA members, sitting in meetings that make me wish I had a laser pointer to chase, and generally keeping all tech connected and talking to each other for automation.  This previous year has seen me with my paws directly in the design and art quality of a game launching in September (a dream come true for a designer/gamer/content nerd such as myself).

Would say I'm 'just another QA'... but I've had producers get me to write or re-write up features, and both programmers and artists ask me for input/quality checks for their work.

@Cassidy:
Awesome!  If you ever want to go clambering let me know!

Hello there Lynx and welcome! It's always great to have people as such who encourage us to go out and explore more. Also love your writing. You know how to express yourself! =^.^= You will make many friends in this community for sure! Hope to see you around!

A very delayed reply.

Thanks Kai (Kai or Samurai preferred?).  Its been a warm welcome, feeling fuzzy on both the inside as well as the usual outside.  Catching me in public may be tricky but definitely down to expand horizons/traveled territory. (step 1, forums, step 2.... outside  step 3... groups? :-[).

You can call me either Samurai or Kai, whatever you feel like saying at the time ^-^ it can be fun to say something different, heck or even coming up with your own nicknames, that doesn't bother me. Ohhh and just wait until you go to a convention for the first time if you haven't already. I've never felt more welcome! I got hugged by a couple fursuiters so fast, and everyone was just so genuinely nice, you didn't feel left out, you felt included. My first time I went out to a social gathering before that was at a sushi place, and I knew absolutely no one at the time and I was incredibly nervous and had anxiety issues at the time but I stuck it out, and as I kept going I made more friends. You work at your own pace, come out whenever you want, no one is forcing you to go (though going out often can make your wallet cry) as I have experienced! :o
