Any auto body animals out there? I'd like to contribute my 70 convertible impala for the sake of the furry community to use for furmeets and photo shoots and cons under one condition, it needs a paint job and a new top. It's got a lot of metal work done like new trunk pan, inner and outer wheel wells and quarters im into it for less than 10000 and it's getting rained in for now the second year but it works. I'm open to offers but I'd like to keep it around for the long run even if I don't use it for years to come someone might just love finish it for there own use preferably for everyone's sake

That being said here's where it gets juicy, I'm willing to do the same for my 61 Cadillac limo but that would take slot more work

How long have these cars been driven? I can't imagine they're running very well.

Doink

sorry owl that was rude of me the impala ran months ago and burns blue smoke and the caddy hasn't ran in a few years but should still run with a distributor upgrade and burns leaded fuel the impala says like 7000 or 9000 miles but could be rolled once or twice on the caddy has 75000 original miles. I have a 61 caddy series 62 convertible for parts but nothing fits the series 75 limousine. The front window is list pice 3600 dollars but I seen something for 1400

Reminds me of beastie boys.
'You scream and you holler about my chevy impala' lmao.

Sorry to not be of assistance, good luck though!

Owl

It sounds like these cars might require a lot more maintenance before they are safe to drive.

My knowledge of autobody is very amateur unfortunately. I doubt I can be of any help.

why wouldn't you do a run down of the car? Make sure everything is working good and safe before you take it on the road? If my car sits for more than a month I do a run down to make sure everything is all good and safe. I think you should take the car to a professional before it goes on the road.

That's no fun though. I think we should endorse his proffesional opinion on this and let him drive it first xD

I am a mechanic I even went to quantlen collage and did very well my problem is money I dropped my old life style and now I'm on welfare, I do not need people to tell me how to fix it or check it and if you had 4 cars and 2 trucks I'd like to see you keep up the maintenence tip top,  they are my life accomplishments and I will enjoy them when the time is right but if someone else is better suited to take care of them than I will let that happen. Like a parent who cannot care for there child they go to a better home for a while. Who knows someone might just buy them but I'd appreciate seriose enquiries only. Personally if it makes someone happy to have a car like that it would make me happy to share.

I'll just put this out there. I'm a concrete pump truck operator in Union 115. There is more maintenance in that one truck in a day, than your hot wheels need in 3 months. And if you are lending your car's out from the looks of it, I have every right to say to check it over and fix it. I don't care if it's your car, I have every right to say check it over and fix it. I won't see my friends get hurt in your beater car.

If I didn't mention before the need fixing, there
