So where do people in Canada buy material for their fur?  not very many options in the north island, but I've heard of fabric.com but trying to avoid exchange rates / duty etc.

You could look into Chinese wholesale websites. They usually don't charge shipping, and in small batches, textiles shouldn't have duty in Canada.

Hmm ok that's an idea.  I guess I just have to pay the exchange then.  At least there's no duty.

You can try this:
http://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?shipCountry=ca&shipFromCountry=&shipCompanies=&SearchText=fur+pile&exception=&minPrice=&maxPrice=&minQuantity=&maxQuantity=&isFreeShip=n&isFavorite=n&isRtl=n&isOnSale=yes&isBigSale=n&similar_style=n&similar_style_id=&isAtmOnline=n&CatId=0&initiative_id=SB_20150908011239&needQuery=y

Hope the link will work for awhile.

The prices seem to be about the same to buying locally, but the fur looks more luxurious :3 I wanna snuggle it all.
Read the descriptions and shit though. Make  sure what your buying is the same as the picture.

A long time ago they had awesome sales like 50-70% off. But I think they may have gotten into some trouble since they removed their textile and metal resource sections from the website for some months (well not removed but hid them really well).

Checking some more pages, there seems to be some pretty cute fur in there. Be weary though. Read the descriptions. I accidently messed up ordering a towel I didn't want because I was dumb and didn't read everything :/
I don't know any reliable sources for fur from the site, I've never ordered fur from there, but I have gotten a bunch of other stuff and they're really co-operative with cancellations and returns, and refunding you for miss shipments.

Some of the sellers are really personal, so if you message them through the site, and ask, they may be able to give you updated or alternate photos of the fur you're trying to buy if you're unsure about it. I've never tried this exact thing, but from my experience with the sellers, they're really nice, and it couldn't hurt to ask.
