Hi, I'm Vern and I'm new-ish in town. I moved here from Calgary to get away from the snow and to legally own pet rats.
I know a bunch of people living in the Vancouver area but I'd like to meet more! I finally clued in that BC would have it's own fur forum so here I am!

I like video games and I'm trying my hand at designing one. I like drinking and making beer, and I have a love/hate relationship with hiking. My pink Jackalope fursuit is old AF but I'm still getting mileage out of it!

What's up! ^^ How is everyone!

Hello and welcome
I didn't know you couldn't own rats in Calgary. Thank you for that little new fact of the day-hordes it with all the other random facts that deal with legal pets -
If you need any help with your game feel free to shot some ideas. My friend and |I are working on one using RPG marker ace(aka she is and I'm just the plot/character maker..i also do a lot of debugging)

Hey!...

Can I take this?

Haha! My old coworkers used to say that to me but for the longest I didn't know the reference. XD

Owning rats in  Calgary is a huge fine and they euthanise them too :(

I'm messing around with Adventure Game Studio because point and click adventures are my favourite type of game. It has been an interesting learning experience! I'd love to chat game dev and bounce my story ideas off ya once I'm further into the process! Hopefully future me can finish it within a year!

Good luck with your game too!

Never heard of Adventure game studio. Might have to play around with it if/when I get spare time to. And certainly I'd love to bounce ideas back and forth whenever you want.

So, what do you do in Langley?

I used to live there. I liked hanging out at the Nicklemeckle Trail.

I try and get out for trails too! I like the Campbell loop that takes you to the abandoned racetrack. I also like that our complex has a pool so I can swim a bit! And playing Ingress on my phone gets me out exploring new areas! I'll likely be moving to Burnaby at some point though, closer to work!

What do you recommend I do while I'm still in Langley! Any favourite places?

I always liked hanging out under this bridge. Would go there when I was 11.
