I'm trying to get things ready for being a vendor this year and its my first time so I'm a little nervous. Along with that I'm trying to figure out some things along the way that ive never had to deal with before.
If anyone would want to lend me a helping hand in answering some of these questions I would be very grateful!

Digital art prints for selling / displaying: (8.5x11 prints)
-Where is a good place?
-What kind of paper should I get them printed on?
-I've never sold prints before so I dont know how much I should sell them for?
-Is there anything I should know about selling prints?
-Do you know of a place that prints on canvas should I want to place something in the art auction, or other ideas on the matter?

Suggestions for a new vendor?

How much float should I bring and in what kind of bills/change?

I think thats all I have to ask atm, if I have more questions I'll post more later.

Biggest tip about selling prints: Dont print a lot. Most of the people in the fandom are much more interested in getting commissions (of their characters) instead of buying premade art. (There are some exceptions but most people go for commissions over prints.)

It really is up to you. I personally print my own stuff or get them done at Staples. they have examples of the kind of paper they have. Most people go with a glossy print. I used too but i really love matte paper much more now. I will only print on glossy for -certain- images if i feel its necessary. (Some people frame their prints and sometimes having gloss on gloss is wierd when framed. Sometimes not! Its a trail and error things really.)

I see prints range from 4x6 to 11x17 posters. Commonly 8.5x11 are the normal sizes you will see.

Print prices depends on where you are, whos the seller, how big, etc. I normally see 8.5x11 go for $10 (give or take) and 11x17 or other posters go for $20ish. Make sure you keep in mind how much it costs you to get it printed (always keep your receipts!) and then price from there.

Most people have a binder or portfolio book (can get from art stores) to show off their prints. If you are selling art of both general and adult nature people normally put them in separate books and have covers on the binders to show what art is in which book. (You also have to cover any non PG parts. Tape. Stickers. etc. MAKE SURE YOU DO THIS ON A PLASTIC PROTECTOR so you dont ruin the artwork.)

Canvas stuff i am not to sure on. I see more places offer that online then stores but perhaps i am wrong.

For art show/auctions you can put regular prints in there. It doesn't -have- to be on canvas, though canvas is definitely pretty. Anything that isn't canvas or made specially to not have a frame, need to be frames or matte when being put in the art show. (More professional this way and it makes it look really good and more desirable. Even if you just put a card stock backing to frame it still looks good too since frames and matte board can sometimes be expensive.)

I normally bring $100 of float. Mostly small change. 5s, 2s, and 1s. A couple tens maybe. But you will -get- tens much quicker then smaller change.

Hope that helps! *just from my experience. others might have different input!*
