In the search of housing, with pets nearish to 22nd Street Station

This is a little different from your average "looking for a home" request.  I'm not really looking to live with anybody.  :P

What I'm looking for, is those of you who are in apartment buildings that have openings, if you could throw your landlord's phone number at me, I'll apply for a suite myself.  I am also asking because a close friend of mine is looking to move. 

Where I currently live, Bon Terra Apartments in Surrey, is costing me a butt ton of money on food, laundry, and cleaning bills, because the place keeps getting infested.  This building has bed bugs, cockroaches, silverfish, and feral ants.  It has also been listed on the Bed Bug Registry since 2009.  I'm getting sick and tired of buying a new bucket of peanut butter every 2 days because the ants got into it, regardless of how tight I screwed the lid, and I just threw my bed out because it got infested.

I'm aiming for Burnaby / New Westminster area.  I work in south Burnaby near the Ministry of Family Development (south of Marine Drive) and my friend works on Annacis Island, and her hubby works in Richmond  The goal is to move closer to work, and stop using 2 zone bus tickets.

Also, my friend has caged animals, (rats, ferrets, hamsters) and I have a cat.  Getting rid of said pets is not, and never will be, an option.  $800/month for 1 bedroom maximum.  (if they charge that on a 2 bedroom then awesome!)  Transit access is also a big necessity.  If the bus is once an hour, that will be a deal breaker.

One apartment has been found.  Still need to find one more.
