Hello, I'm Kai, and I live in Vancouver.

I've been a furry since 2006, and had an interest in werewolves for even longer. Yet I never actively participated in the fandom, and hardly ever posted anything online, until this year. Basically, I've been a furry lurker for seven years now. I suppose it goes along with the secretive nature of the animal I chose for my fursona. But it's gotten dull now, and I'd like to take a more active position in the furry community. Hi everybody!

A bit about myself... I'm 24, my fursona is a coastal wolf, and I consider myself to be gender-neutral. I like to sketch, and I've made a few fursuit pieces so far. I'm hoping to start taking fursuit commissions this fall, too. I'm not very interested in video games or music or vehicles, but I really love nature, animals, science, and sushi.

Speaking of which, I'm probably going to turn up at the next Tuesday Sushi. Hope to meet you there!

Welcome to our open community Kai *tail waves*

I know for sure there are nature lovers around, me included, I go on many hikes in the wild and many more with other fellow furs.

I missed this sushi but maybe next one I can say hi!

Ah, cool! I do love me some sushi.

I definitely need to go on some nature walks around here. It'd be great to go with you and your buddies!

Great! The sushi event thread is in the lower mainland events forum area, and it happens every week no matter what really. A great place to introduce yourself to the community (a good chunk of us attend that event.)

Yotie on the forums holds hiking events, often called Swamp Tromps. His philosophy is that furs do not do enough outdoors and if it's short they complain about wanting to go back or get bored, so he holds some pretty wholesome hikes that are often 6-8 hours. Isn't so much a nature walk than defining hike come to think of it! Others hold events too, hopefully they do anyway (ask around for people to walk with!), the summer is cooling off.

Welcome, I'm sure one of these days we'll run into each other. It's a fairly small community.
