Something I would like to see is a revolving calendar that once this week is over it removes this week and adds a new one.  This way at the end of the second week of this month I/we can see the beginning of next month.  In other words the calendar is always updating and those events at the beginning of the month won't get missed because the furry couldn't get his/her paw to open next months calendar.

This message board is written by (many) others on the web and it's difficult to customise any code, something like that might require a lot of coding and without knowing it like the back of your hand it may create bugs/be impossible to update if a message board update comes out etc. Even if someone had written and had tested a plugin for this feature, plugins almost always stagnate and become incompatible/unmaintained. Forum software sucks unfortunately. Er, a tiger's opinion in any case.

The "upcoming events" at the bottom of the forum index page is a great way to see events in order regardless of month however, if that were to be brought up to the top (a lot lot easier...) that might be something neat to get the word of soon events out.
The farther one travels, the less one knows.
