How do you make a fursuit head?

Hello everyone! Kaijiro here, I was just wondering in case anyone might know but does anyone know how to make a really good fursuit head? How to start off? Step by step? It would be really useful because my mother agreed to help me make one. I have never made one myself so this would be my first time, and if there's anything I might need to know before starting off like anything helpful like that would be greatly appreciated. I want to make my own custom snow leopard head and I don't want it to look cheap looking or anything, and I'm aware that that would take a lot of work and probably would be very expensive especially if I wanted it to look really good. D: Any tips and advice would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you!

There are an absolute TON of videos and tutorials available on youtube and around the web. So I won't specifically go through step-by-step.

But for your first time making one, the toughest part is keeping the shape you want. Otherwise your cat turns into a potato shape very quickly unless you are extremely good at foam sculpting. We use foam on our head bases. But I'm going to recommend you pick up some essentials to make your life a lot easier. Nose/eyes/teeth/mouth can be very difficult and costly to make small quantities. (It would probably work out much cheaper to buy them ready-made than the ingredients you would require for a single use) Also there is a huge learning curb when working with resins and latex, and safety to consider when working with chemicals.

They also have all of the jawsets, eyes, noses...etc you could want/need.

On top of those items you'll require a few more things (a couple of really good adhesives, a balaclava...etc) But any good tutorial will cover that.

Oh why yes! I looked around in there, saw a resin type feline head that really suited my character. :D I think I should go for it, it's the best looking one I could ever find or make myself. Most people that I know only know how to work with foam type builds, so they can't help me with resin. :C I don't wanna mess it up either! hehe, but anyways.. thank you very much for the help!
