Hey! Was wondering if anyone has heard of, likes or owns any Bang and Olufsen products.
Our local dealer is on Burrard and Burnaby St.

http://www.bang-olufsen.com/ <--- theres a link to there website.

I've got a pair of their iphone headset/mic things. Really nice looking. Too bad the cables were like shit. Broke within 8 months.

However, stuff powered by their ICEpower modules sounds great. Class D Amplification CAN sound great -- don't let the traditionalists say otherwise. >.<

That being said, you can get that technology in other products that might be cheaper than available there.

What do you mean exactly? I own a pair of the A8 headphones, which are great quality. Do you mean the earset thing? Did you buy it in the dealer? Boy this doesn't look good. :P The cables on the A8's are great, and the plugs are awesome. I agree about the ICE and they don't really overheat making them tiny and awesome. Take a look at the Beolab 5. I don't think anything is a good looking, or with as many functions.

My dad has a really old B&O system that's awesome... tape deck and phonograph and two epic front speakers. :D  Other than that I wouldn't know... I have a cheapy old Altec Lansing 2.1 set for my compie and the top-end Skullcandy DJ headphones. XD

Hmm, yeah there legasy stuff is amazing. We have a Beomaster system 5500 and some other stuff. Those headphones are good but I payed around the same ($140ish) for the A8's. B and O gave me $100 off so I diddnt have to pay the 250. :P Im sure your com sound system is fine, but I needed something a little more on the Beolab 5 side for my studio. XD I used to use a pair of liquid cooled speakers that were really quite cool.

I dug around - it's this: http://www.beocentral.com/products/beolab8000 but with I think these speakers: http://www.beocentral.com/products/bvs80-2 :D

Lots of fond memories of my dad playing some epic vinyl like Led Zeppelin IV and Black Sabbath's Paranoid through that setup. *.*

Edit: Actually then I think it's http://www.beocentral.com/products/beolab6000 + those speakers, technically.

I think they're called HeadSet 3... but they're like based on the A8's. Nice sounding. Expensive. Ultimately, I prefer my UE Super.fi 5vi's ;)

That being said... I've had a chance to hear a bunch of Icepower modules (7x500W) powering a really nice pair of speakers - B&W 800 series, I think. Holy shit, that was amazing. :P

I recommend going to the dealer when you can, and just ask for a demo of some of there stuff. Even the f'ing phones are amazing. The only peoblem is the store is so LITTLE! The one my dads friend owns is 3 stories tall!
