Lotsa BAMBOOS! You should find a bamboo field and sit in it. Metal toys might have lead and plastic could be radioactive. I hope you have fun ^.^ Legal drinking age is 18.

A word to the wise: DON'T take pictures of the Red Guard!

I was part of an exchange program and got to go to China last March. It was super fun, if not a bit of a culture shock the first few days. Beware the food carts. They have some shady stuff on those carts and two of the guys in our group got super sick because of it.

What area are you going to? If you are in Beijing I highly recommend doing some shopping in the Pearl and Silk market, you get great deals and it's super fun to barter with the vendors.

You must walk the wall of China!! It's on everyone's bucket list and is super amazing to stand on top of all that history.

However, I felt that once you've seen one temple you've seen them all. I think our tour group went to 5 or 6 temples and it got really boring. The Summer Palace is beautiful and the Forbidden City is sweet, but beyond that the others were really boring.

Um.... don't be afraid to try new foods, some is super good. But just a tip, don't ask what's in it till your done eating it....or....ya....

Any questions, feel free to ask!

Shanghai, eh? The Paris of the East during the 1920s of sorts. Vestiges of its past is still around.

There's this shopping mall that was converted from a bovine slaughterhouse in Shanghai of sorts.

I've been to Shanghai several times so feel free to ask me about things and all that.

Food carts. Do eat from the ones that look good. Cause damn, they have street food done right. Ignore the stinky tofu though.

If this is several years ago, then the Shanghai World Expo is a must. They had a Canada Expo there back then, but all of 'em country expos have been dismantled except for the China Pavilion. It's a huge imposing building of sorts, that's to be understood.
