Decriminalization would remove the criminal penalties on growth and possession of cannabis. However decriminalization would not solve the core issue of the cannabis industry which is the fact that organized crime would still control the majority of the trade. Decriminalization is highly unlikely as there is nothing in it for the government.

actually decriminalization would put that same restrictions on it as tobacco or alcohol, and would create a government industry or taxed industry, full legalization means anyone can grow it, legalization means under certain circumstances you can grow it and anyone at or over the provincial age to purchase tobacco can possess
