S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok just bought the Stalker pack on steam and the Call of Pripyat wont start. gah ok heres how it all started i started the COP and the Xrbug thing you know the Gamespy thing that wouldnt start so i looked up some fixes and nothing made sence and i fallowed some of them and didnt work kept doing the same thing Xrbug wont start so i "Right clicked" the game in the libriary on steam and went to the Varify game Cash and clicked on that and then the Xrbug thing whent away and then i redownloaded it and still nothin and now iv been looking on the net trying to find way to fix it but i CANT FIND ONE! i downloaded the Xrbug thing manually but its A damn level editor and i have no idea how to use that! and i cant anyway CUZ THE F****NG GAME WONT PLAY!!!!!!!!!!! GAWD I HATE IT! im going to bed

plz help me i dont want to have wasted money on something that is just pissing me off, id like to injoy the game and not have wasted money. but i got this feeling some people are just going to post "O cant help you looks like you wasted money". i hate them already! ok done now being mad Bed time

Your post leaves me extremely confused and makes my inner grammar teacher want to curl up in a corner and cry.

Let's clarify a few things first.

1. You bought the game via steam?
2. You installed it and you "Verified Game Cache"
- This only checks to make sure the game is downloaded correctly
3. You can see something called COP and Xrbug running, but not the game?
4. Do you see anything launch, like the game in the start menu, or a window open at all? Or does the game just not start?
5. Did you get any error messages?
6. Did you try reading the Steam forums for the game? They usually have FAQ threads with some tips.
7. Did you make sure that your system meets the game's minimum requirements?

I don't own STALKER specifically, but if you bought a game via steam there should not be anything you have to "fix" to get it running. Whatever Xrbug is, if it is a level editor, isn't going to help you run the game, so there is no point in trying to change that. You might, however, need to update Gamespy if STALKER requires it to run.

And here we go,
1- yes steam bought
2- ya but after i did that the XrBug stop running altogether and then after that i find the fix for that but its already gone! GAH!
3- ok the only thing that pops up when i try to start it is the Steam trying to launch the game and nothing els then it goes away and the nothing.
4- Just not start
5- Xrbug Not responding but that whent away whenXrbug stop working.
6- yes for 3-4 hr's looking for a fix on the net, for this one game i bought "Nation Red" i had to Download something i think it was a different directX then it started working.
7- ya like the bare minimum im pritty sure.

Well ya i know the level editor wont help thats what i was so pissed about the One hope just shot down, o well, im realy mellow right now.

lol just seen your top sentence funny ya that all started to slowly go away after i finished high school, ya its a real problem. when im talking sometimes  ill think "Wow gawd i need to go back to school"

Come brother what is this error you have been having, have you been in to my stash of vodka again like Ghost? It would help to post any information you can as a start such as full indicator error readings, I can consult professor Beanpolev, our resident scientist if you find trouble.

Batter UP! we Have a new hitter! ok no more error messages because the Xrbug is not running anymore and the game or anything els for that game wont load past the steam Launch square. all discribed above.

If you have DirectX installed already, you should be fine. (Steam should install that anyways.)

I don't know what "XrBug" is nor can I find any info on it. Are you sure you have that spelled correctly? Is it DXDebug? Xdebug?

If you are minimum specs, it might just not work. What are your basic specs? (CPU, RAM, Video card) Do you know?

ya read that one like 4 times did not help thanks for tryin anyway i think you have had to have the problem with the game to get it eh? i think my buddy may have had the same problem.i dont know and another buddy may be able to help me he's the one who fixed "Nation Red". its not a big problem now just a minor one now, now that i had sleep and am having a good time with the first STALKER. but one day id like to get it working, so im going to keep this up in case someone who's had the problem can help me. Tell then im realy Greatful for your help and cant thank you enough for at least trying to help me.  :hug:
