Rather than necro a thread from 2011 I figured you guys would want to know those robotic cat ears are for sale on ThinkGeek for $99.99 US now.  No lottery winning required. :)

I think I'm ght only furry who thinks that ears on humans just looks a little off.  Like animal ears.  Tails?  Those work, foot paws?  maybe even those, but just ears seem out of place.  For me at least its go fursuit head or go home.

They only look off because they are usually made of faux fur which make them look way too bulky than had the actually been real.
I've always been told to never look a life behind a window to go outside and join the world, but what about the world behind that window makes the outside so much better?

probably because we realize there's no way to connect our inner ear to our brain given its shape/skull shape to that of another animal.
that and we'd need bigger, longer jaws with the proportion for our cranium to fit an adapted brain.

So basically, the bigger your jawbone, the smaller the brain.
part of why we don't have massive chimp underbites as humans.

Not gonna lie, not a fan of the cat ears. Or ear hats. Just too much for me. I don't know why a tail is okay and the seems so strange but gotta agree with fazar.
