Aw maaaaaaaan, not a TV series!

I know- Penguins of Madagascar was bad enough.

I know I'm in the vast minority, but I didn't care for HTTYD at all- To me it was an attempt to use over-cutsey characters to distract people from the cliche plot. (Why does Dreamworks need to make dragon movies anyway- doesn't Shrek feature them already?)

Sorry to sound too negative- carry on!

Its based off of books that are actually quite popular in in peoples childhoods. I don't see why they wouldn't try. And since it did so well int he box office, yeah. your part of a vast minority XD

Is there a reason why they shouldn't make dragon movies? Thats like people saying there shouldn't be any fantasy movies XD

Dreamworks has said the HTTYD movies are being planned around a three-movie arc, I believe. They have something like seven potential movies for Kung Fu Panda, too... Really like their long term planning over there.

I don't know how the TV series connect canonically to the movies. Anyone seen the KFP series and can give an idea whether it's worth watching?

Kung Fu Panda is a great series filled with some nice nods to the genre films. Can't wait for more.

Okay, I just watched this and omg the little dragons are painfully cute! I love that the Hiccup's large-ish friend (don't know his name) lovingly named his round, stumpy Gronckle Meatlug. Meatlug! For some reason, that's just really cute to me. :3

Thanks for posting this, I loved the first HTTYD and I had no idea that they had already released a short Christmas film.

apparently there is a couple other short films

Let us all hope that HTTYD does not become enfranchised like the Shrek series into producing films of increasing declining quality.

I swear Shrek just became a HUGE commercial
A movie made of product placement and the reinforcement of the American Dream
