Just wondering if anyone here listens to the post-rock genre? I've gotten into this genre last year and have been hooked ever since...

Some people say it's too slow, or too emo. But to me, it's one of the best things to relax to.

I'm currently hooked on this song called:

I Can Almost See You by Hammock

Other than Hammock, I would also suggest Explosion in the Sky! Another great band!

I suppose you could say I'm into Post-rock, if that's how you would classify Explosions :b

Explosions is a favorite band of mine. If you haven't already, you should check out Do Make Say Think (especially their latest album "Other Truths"), Calexico, Godspeed You Black Emperor and Don Caballero: all of them truly amazing.

Hi! Nice to meet you!  :-3

Yeah, Godspeed You Black Emperor is pretty good! I like the track "Sleep" by them. Hmm, I haven't check out the others, but I definitely will. Have you heard of Helios? They're not bad either.,..

Btw, did you know that Explosions is having a concert at the Vogue in November! I couldn't get my paws on any tickets. It's all sold out.  :'(

I did not know that, but I am now filled with impotent rage!  >:(

Aye, I love me a bit of Post-rock now and then. Of the fifty or so genres I have in my iTunes, Post-rock is one I should probably play a bit more often. :P

Explosions In The Sky... nuito... Sigur Rós... This Will Destroy You... God Is An Astronaut...
Heck, even Brian Eno has some Post-rock.

Hmm... it's a shame I only have 10 hours worth... I should probably get some more sometime. ^.=.^
reality is subject to relativity.

Grooveshark has plenty of Post-rock if you're looking for some more. I think they even have an iPhone/iPod App

You're right. Mogwai should have been mentioned. I'm not too big on their tracks though. I haven't heard of 'You Seem Fearless' yet, but I shall google it right now!  :o
