I thought I'd just start a Minecraft thread since I noticed the lack of one on here.

Share server IPs, seeds, links to texture packs, skins, mods, information on new updates, etc.

I can't wait for 1.8 and for when Xbox has Minecraft.

 Well, the best texture pack I've found so far is the Pixeludi pack (http://pixeludi.com/minecraft/). Of course, there are some nice HD packs out there, but I've only managed to get one working...

I also have a Hamachi server set up, with multi-world, skylands, and advanced MOBs (though, I might have to toss the advanced MOBs, as they seem to slow down the server a lot). There's quite a few developed mines and caverns, so resources are easy to get right off the bat. I've put a 5 user cap on the server, so space is limited. I honestly have no idea how many people it can handle, but since I'm running it off my laptop, I'v decided to air on the side of caution. Just send a comment or PM my way if you want in on this block-filled action.

I feel like I used way too many clichés already, so I'm going to stop while I'm ahead. :P


EDIT: My server has been updated to work with Minecraft 1.8 (and from what I understand, only 1.8 ).

The server I've been playing on lately is a relatively large, very well-moderated furry server run by a friend of mine. mc.doridian.de is it, but be forewarned that there's ranked building, and the initial area effectively boxes you in until you've proven you're not an idiot and can actually build your way out of a paper bag.

If I had a better running computer, I would want to set up a server for friends only, and people I can trust that won't grief. I've always wanted to see what my friends and I could come up with. Or if there's a server that I could join, I'd want it to be legitimate, because I like it when people use resources to build instead of cheat and just type in commands to give yourself infinite blocks. I'm all about gathering resources to build things. Creative mode is super boring unless building things is the only thing you want to do.

The only things I don't like in the upcoming updates are the ugly villager NPCs, and the fact that Minecraft can now be beaten. Also I saw the credits, and it's 8 minutes of text, and none of it makes ANY sense. Nobody knows if Notch is being serious, or if he's being a troll with the credits... but yeah.
