Yeah, I work at Thrifty's and live down the street there.  :)

Jaspergoesrawr

Sweet :O I'm currently working at the DQ.
I haven't been to Thriftys in while, but now I'm starting to wonder if I've seen you before, since you live around here. Hmm.....

Maybe, which high-school did you go to? If I may ask.

Jaspergoesrawr

I went to school mostly down in the states actually. Lived down in Washington for 12 years before moving back up to Canada about 3 years ago. So I doubt you'd know me from school. xD

Oh XP

Whereabouts in White Rock do you live? We should totally get together for lunch or something sometime.  :monocle:

Jaspergoesrawr

Over towards the smaller library. I don't know if that helps much...unless you know where that is.

And we should :D I've been working a lot, but maybe I can find some spare time next week. Do you know other furs in South Surrey that we could gather up  for...a bigger lunch or bowling maybe?

Hrm, I know one other furson, but I don't know how he would feel if I gave his name out.

I'll pm him if anything comes up, see if he's interested.

South surrey is hard to get to for most, even other surrey-ites.

If you want to organize a get together, like bowling, make a thread in the vent section. Give a brief overview of when, where, and why people should conglomerate. Give at least 2 - 3 weeks notice, and be prepared to answer questions, especially transportation. If you need to book anything, like lanes or rinks, you may want to double check with the venue ahead of time.

I know the Sandcastle Lanes let you book ahead of time, may want to reserve 1 or 2 or find a good time that isn't usually too busy. Then again, I doubt Sandcastle ever fills. (I lived in white rock for about 20 years, I know the lanes pretty well)

Renwaldo

Well White Rock has good transit service. It's just far for those of us living in the urban centres.

South Surrey... maybe has 3 bus stops total, that run only during the day, excluding the 'park and ride.'  :-X

Zen

I have huge complains about the Translink service south of 72nd ave in surrey, especially towards Langley and SS. Also, SS/WR/OP is all the same area under the same service company, so it's pointless to split them.

Renwaldo

Yeup, overall the service sucks here.  :P
The real kicker is we still have to pay the same amount to the government whether or not we have access to the few bus stops sparsely placed throughout here.

If you can't wait 30 minutes for a bus or if you plan on arriving in town late at night, you're pretty much screwed.  :-\

When I get home after 7pm I have to walk several kilometres back to my neighbourhood.

What would be better would be a day trip to the beach! It's cheaper, can make a potluck afternoon of sun, sand, and fun! Some of the further away furs could possibly car pool too.

Jaspergoesrawr

Aww. I always thought the service was decent from Surrey to White Rock. Not so much down to the beach though. But the White Rock to Surrey bus is every 15 mins or so. Langley is tough though.

Hn...maybe we should just all meet in North Surrey ._.; Sounds better for most people, since there are more up there.
