For some reason the Saints Row series (my favorite amongst open-world games) has been overlooked by a lot of people; I am the only person I know who owns this series.

Yes - it is a ripoff of Grand Theft Auto - but it takes the basic open-world formula of GTA and makes everything much, much better - they removed a lot of the clunkiness, tedious stuff and lame story, and made everything left over-the-top awesome.  I could go on about the series, but I think this sneak peek of the third game (due in November) really says everything you need to know.

Pause the video 4 minutes, 10 seconds in - that's right, you'll be able to run around and wreak havoc in a "furry suit"!  Someone else better buy this game so we can get some co-op going!

I was a fan as soon as I started playing SR2, it was just too much fun. I'm excited for SR3 but it's still not very high up on my list of upcoming games to get. That could change once the game comes out though.

I also hope they do a better job on the PC port this time around; I haven't actually played that version but I've heard nothing but bad things about it D:
