Hi there... I am going through my closet and have a couple of computers to sell.. one of which is a Dell tower.

Dell GX260 (Mid-Size tower)
Pentium 4 2.4GHz cpu
512MB RAM
30GB harddrive
Radeon 3D Graphics card and has integrated video card on motherboard.
10/100 Ethernet card integrated on board
CD-ROM Drive (one bay is open ready to accept another CD drive)
Windows 2000 Professional preinstalled (with COA sticker on tower)

The system works perfectly; I've done a full clean install of Windows 2000 on it along with a couple of basic applications (such as Openoffice and Avast Anti-Virus) to help get you started. All the Windows updates have been applied so basically all you need to do is plug it in and go.

If your interested let me know-- I will throw in a 20" DELL Monitor for FREE.

also includes power cables for the monitor and tower. Sorry no keyboard or mouse included.

ok, starting to be interested. What kind of memory does it take? I see two sticks; I have two 512 DDR400's left over from my dead desktop.

It has two pieces of 256MB DDR (PC2100 CL2) RAM in it. So your RAM should work just fine...

I would like to see such a OS..... Macs already have a few now from what I have seen as they have been gaining popularity. As for the self-proclaimed god Linux they will get something eventually. When somone even cares XD

In reality its all how one plans their targets, who will care about the small percentage of Mac/ Linux users as their targets for malware, when they can go for the Majority?

Winderz 7 Ultimate final (disc and all) got mine in the mailllll a few days ago finally. also running Ubuntu 9.04 which works way better than windows anyways (no anti-virus needed)

Yeah.. I'm running uBuntu 9.04 on my lappy top .. it works great! -- not bad for FREE.. ;)

Im still sticking with XP for a while before getting Windows 7, I have tried the beta and am very impressed (rather a very crazy 180 from their vista counterpart)

Mmmm having drivers for higher end precision hardware ;)

Like I said before though, its really only cause no one has bothered to design anything for linux yet, as for windows, yeah there are tons and tons of crap you can get but if you use common sense and don't just go "hur hur, ima click all deez adverts and download these few MB sized DVDs from U-torrent" then more likley than not you wouldn't get anything :P
