Man, I was so pissed yesterday at my roommates... but then today happened and I am so happy! ... Even though they left a paper plate and canned peach tin on the counter.

My grandma is over on the Island visiting from Guildford and wanted to take me to lunch as she does when she is over here. So first we got in the car and she hands me a $50 for no reason. I tried to refuse it, but she wouldn't take it back.

We drove down the street to visit my little sister at her new job, which is at a shop that sells incense, scented wax melty things, diffusers to put the melty things in, bath bombs and handmade soaps. Man, it is nice in there. I ended up getting a Chinese-y looking diffuser and some OMG SO GOOD SMELLING wax melty things (strawberry/melon and a vanilla bean) and some locally made soap with real blackberries in it. *__*

Went to White Spot and I knew she wouldn't let me pay for lunch, so I said I would leave the tip... but I wasn't allowed. XD White Spot burgers are awesome.

Then to the clothing store where I was bound and determined to buy the things I wanted there (yeah, bra sale! $30 instead of $60). Picked out stuff and a nice shirt. While I was doing that, she found two shirts that she wanted me to try on. I did and liked them. They were on sale so I was going to buy them too. And then she whipped out her bank card. This time I was serious. "No grandma. It is $100! I am paying!" and got politely shoved out of the way... so while she wasn't looking (but the cashier lady was, and smiling about it) I stuffed $30 into her purse. ... But when she put her wallet back, she caught me and gave it back. XD

She is so good to me. I love my grandma very much! She even brought me home made blackberry jelly (my favorite!!) and is trying to foist her unused kitchen gadgets on me. lol I will probably take some of them the next time I am over there.

And! It is a nice, sunny day today. Could it get any better?

I bought a pumpkin!  :D I'm going to carve my bf's face in it to promote the festive spirit.

Also I managed to finish all my closing duties early tonight, so there was no stressful rush to get everything done nor guilt over leaving work for the person opening tomorrow morning.  :)

<Annoying one-up>

I have an entire case of English ale sitting on the shelf. Minus the one bottle that I'm currently quaffing. At room temperature of course; How else do you drink a proper bloody pint?

Well it would be awesome to have entire case of brewskis, but in the situation I'm in....is we have no alcohol and the beer that was hiding in my closet, was one the beers one of my friends brought for the prom party...so if you ask me, that's kinda lucky. But I would love to drink a nice warm pint X3

A lady tried to give me a $5 tip today, then she told how impressed she was with my service and cheerful personality every time she shopped at our store. She said she always comes through my till because I'm one of few people who's smile and greeting are genuine.  :angel:

I had to refuse the tip, but it made my night just hearing someone say that. Most people simply mimic a, 'thanks, have a nice day' and rush off.

I am cooking duck for the first time (along with risotto and mushrooms, but I have made them before) and everything seems to be working out fine. I just hope it tastes good!

Gordon Ramsay - How To Cook Duck

Mine  turned out pretty good... but I sorta wished I had watched this first. I  ♥ Gordan Ramsay and he had some tips that will help me next time. I  also learned that unlike chicken, duck is RED MEAT so it is perfectly ok  to cook it medium rare, which I think I would prefer. :D

YAY! GORDON RAMSAY

I am enjoying the best Friday of the week. Beer pong, Kings, Cup Flip, and Super Smash Bros night at a friend's reunion place of sorts.  :D

And I'm a drunk dog now.
