I just saw Squire Barnes show the Hastings Racecourse Mascot Races. I heard a Fox faceplanted into the dirt and a Eagle literally flipped over.

Squire also presented the trophy for that.

Earlier I was pissed about the cage I wanted to buy (see the complaint thread)... but I signed up to be emailed when more stock came in... and it already did. Not even 12 hours later, so I didn't hesitate, I ordered my cage. I am glad too, 'cause the Canadian site wants at least $40 or $50 more than what I ended up paying, which was $237.

Triple-happy post!

1) My foot isn't too badly damaged; Chiefly soft tissue damage with a possible hairline fracture (Not the ankle, thankfully!). I'm not going to be getting up and dancing anytime soon, but, it's not as bad as it feels (And yes, it hurts like bloody hell when I put even a bit of weight on it). Lesson learned, secure my loft's ladder more thoroughly.

2) Tigercub, thank you very much for loaning me a cane. Going to need it until this heals, alas, but hey. It should heal in fairly good order once the swelling's down to a reasonable level again.

3) Started a top secret sneaky weasel project! I'll give you lot a hint: It's a game, it's got a few furry and borderline furry characters, and it's fairly old-school. Glee!
