3 digits or 4?

This is becoming a very contraversial decision for me regarding my fursuit (When I have it made). What I'm trying to determine is whether or not I should have the traditional animation-style 3 fingers with one thumb, or the standard 4 fingers and thumb for my paws! My character is influenced by teh Lion King - which does deviate from the 3 fingers.. they (the lions) do all have "4 fingers" actually.

What I'd like ot know is if there are any fursuiters out there who has tried both. Is there a distinct disadvantage just because your have 3 fingers as opposed to 4? I personally have no issue merging my pinky with my ring finger so in that regard its not an issue.

I am in the four finger group, I dislike finger bondage while in suit :P

I would suggest four, my good cheetah. Three fingers always looks (and feels) strange to me.

Just out of curiosity, is 5 uncommon for some reason? Genuine question, as I know very little about fursuiting.

I should qualify my first post, I have 5 digits, 4 fingers and a thumb.
