Ok, im seriously fed up with people these days. To make a long rant short, I really REALLY dislike it when people put their single in their profiles (on any site) and then say they're taken.
My response:......THEN WTF IS WITH YOUR PROFILE SAYING YOUR SINGLE??! CHANGE YOUR STATUS YOU LAZY ASS!!!
Usually people say they're too lazy to change it, so you rather laze on your ass then do something good for the single community and make it clear your not on the market anymore instead of giving peoples hopes up. Nothing pisses me off more than that  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Has anyone ever experinced this and how you deal with these people?

Wanna go out for coffee some time? Your treat.  :P

I have always found that quite irritating myself VanFox. How I deal with it is that I just don't worry about it too much, I have come to the realization that most people are ridiculously lazy I accept that fact and move on with my life. Besides I think I have grown too accustomed to being single. :p

Brittany-shadowwolf

It happens. Alot of people are lazy.
It is rather annoying, but you kinda have to just brush it off. Move on with it. Iunno.
Online relationship status's are funny that way.

And this is why I don't bother with online relationships

Vanilla Skunk

I'm single and not taken, and that's not going to change, by my choice alone. :P

Silvermink

Blame the profusion of sites that exists. People join something, discover their interface/user base/whatever sucks, and then abandon it. Or they have other, more pressing concerns. Eh.

Xen Garden

You're going to have to keep in mind that just because someone is single doesn't always mean they'll want to be with you or date for that matter. I'm single but I prefer to be single til I find someone who's worth my time.

Van_Fox

But if they're single you have a chance

Xen Garden

What if they're seeing someone else? Someone could be single but still have an interest in someone else. And if someone has a boyfriend or girlfriend doesn't mean they wouldn't try to cheat on or dump the person they are with just to be you. There is no lesser or greater chance. Just be patient.

Roffo

Theres a chance that people don't want to make it known? Some may feel no need to change their status so that they get little to no attention from peers.

Ravenwood

I could also be a way of saying "sorry, but I'm not interested in you"

Luna

In some cases, too, it's that people don't want to be taken, that they want to be with new people, but once it comes down to it they feel guilty and change their mind. Selfish/trying to keep their options open, or a slew of a million other reasons that boils down to an infinite case-by-case basis. Just keep at it, eventually someone'll be worth your time. x3
