If any artist on here is interested.

Now that I'm creating an anthromorphic identity for myself I'll need a reference sheet to go by for having avatars and a fur suit and such.

I don't mind spending money of course, artists should be paid for their time when taking such requests. However I would like to let it be known that I make 80 bucks a week on a good day, and lately I haven't worked for over a month.  :P Thusly, for the time being, I'll say the most I can afford is 40 bucks. Price is negotiable if your work is eye bleeding amazing.

What I would like is a basic character reference sheet featuring a full bodied front, back and side views, and close up detailing of the head/face, hand paws and foot paws - soles and tops. Furthermore, if the artist is willing to do so for the right price, and their work impresses me, I'd like to purchase a small extra ref. piece featuring Renwaldo's various facial expressions.  ;D I doubt it'll serve much practical use for an actual fur suit design but it will be cute! I'll find a place for it.

A basic overview of my character: Renwaldo is a flame point siamese of the wedge head lineage. He's largely based Miyazaki's character, the cat Baron Von Gkkington(sp? I couldn't properly spell any german name if my life depended on it) who while certainly wasn't my first or only childhood role model, he was the one I seemed to identify and admire the most when I was growing up. My late grandmother, whom I was very close to, always stressed the importance being well mannered and for the longest time that's what I valued the most in people. In short that's why I'm so drawn to Miyazaki's character.  :P To the proper little snob that I used to be this guy was like superman to me.  :monocle:

Anyways, that is the gist of it. I'm sure I still haven't figured out everything I want yet, so when I find someone for the job I would like to spend some time going over minor details with them over pm or email.

I can't for the life of me figure out how to save images off the web on to a mac. I can't figure out where to save it where it gets saved as a picture and not just a line of text on this thing.  :P When I find out how I'll pm you with some reference photos tomorrow Draaz.

At this point I'm just making a mental list of potential artists willing to work with me. Do you have someplace where I can see your work Mene? FA account?

TO save pics on a mac just drag it to the desktop.. Or a folder too I think.

"images.jpg" is all I got out of saving the image to my desktop. I can view the image as it is from there but if I try to drag it to anywhere else - like the post reply box I'm typing in - the only thing I get is the text, "images.jpg." No picture.

I give up. I can't seem to save a picture to anything that would allow me to post it online.  :P
I do have an image program called 'iphoto,' but I think the only pictures I'm allowed to store in it are those taken by a camera of my own. :P

For a reference, I'll ask potential artists to type "Flame Point Siamese" into google images or a like search engine. At least until I figure out how to send reference picture on my own.

You could always send the direct links to the photos that you find on google.  No saving required!

Looking up "Baron the Cat" and "The Cat Returns" gets alot of hits for Baron Humbert von Gikkingen.  (I've been looking for reference photos of Baron so I can cosplay as him next year ;) )

Well, we'll have to talk it through if you're interested. Something like in your description would be more around 60. It's a lot of art, you must understand. :3
But we could figure something out that will make us both happy for 40, for sure.

Like I always say, I try my best to be fair, but I refuse to take minimum wage for my art. It IS time consuming, just like any other profession.

I'm look for something simple, I don't expect much attention to be paid to depth, texture or lighting in this piece. What's important to me is shape and colour, this reference is primarily for getting a character base down for my own work, other commissions and possibly a fursuit in the future.

I'll send some messages once I figure out how to keep images on my computer.
I know I could just link to them, it pisses me off that I can save them to anywhere so easily on a windows but not on my mac! It has become a big pet peeve of mine, now I'm looking at different technical support sites about macs.  :P

Is there any body reading this who is good with computers?  :(

I don't understand.. Don't you just hold command/apple and then click to get the same pop up menu as on a PC? Then click save image as?
I don't have a mac so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about.
