Looking for a potential rat sitter.. I already have a couple people in mind but it would be better to have someone who knows how to care for rats.

I will be leaving around the 20th of December and will be returning around the 5th of January.
I could also take them on the plane with my but I'm not sure if that's too risky.. Do any of you have experience taking rats of planes?

I have no money so can't pay you for this task.. Although I will provide bedding and food for them of course.
I am willing to do some art for the person who takes time too.

My rats are both boys, non-neutered. They are super friendly and relaxed.

Let me know if you can help! (:

Renwaldo

I have a couple years experience with many domestic rodents including fancy rats.  :) I've worked in a zoo that had rodent livestock, and am currently working in a pet store that always has a litter of at least ten rats or more.
I can see about babysitting them here, or dropping by your place regularly to update food and water bowls. Whichever is preferable.
I can't make any promises just yet though, I don't have my own place so the decision is up to my parents if they have to come here.
Where do you live? If you aren't too far it might be easier if they stayed at your house.

Too bad I don't live on the mainland, or I would have helped. I've been keeping rats for a couple of years now. Good luck to you!

I have two females and a neutered male. All dumbos, one Russian Blue berk, one Russian beige self and a Himilayan. What do you have?

Kithop

My roommate Star has two female rats here; I don't think she'd want to put two non-neutered males in the mix, but we also have a spare unused large birdcage right now.  I have no idea if it'd be big enough or if she's interested, but I can ask her next time I talk to her.  We're out by King George in Surrey - right by where Howloween is usually held. :P

Kithop

Just asked her - she's more than willing to rat-sit for you; she worked at a pet store for a few years, knows how to handle rats, etc., and is currently home most of the time and would be able to give them lots of attention. :P  Only questions she has are if you have a cage for them that will be provided (otherwise we do have a birdcage with the right-spacing bars), and how much you'd be willing to offer for her service.

Feel free to PM me as well or add me on one of the various IM things in my profile if you're interested. n.n

My bad on skimming. XD I just double-checked with her and she said 'Oh!  Okay, that works too! n.n', FWIW.

Thanks for the offer! My boyfriend has lots of expensive equipment here so isn't comfortable giving the keys to anyone. XD Not even his friends... But thank you so much anyways! <3

I could bring the cage or they could stay in the bird cage.. Bird cage might be easier. I'll definitely get back to you on this one! Would she like some free art in exchange? I could also give a huge discount on a moving tail or some ears if she's interested.

Sounds like you already found someone, shall I go ahead and ask my parents anyways just in case?  :P

I have the time and space, even money to care for them if need be, it's dependent on their permission just because it is their house.  :P

I live in South Surrey, for your consideration.

Did you get your rats from Evergreen Rattery? That is where I got my Russians. :) I live about 10 minutes away from EVR. :)
