Lil' Funfur Lady Moving to Vancouver

Hello!
I currently live in Saskatchewan (and hate it), but I am moving to Vancouver in like.. 10 days! o-o
I was accepted into Emily Carr University on Granville Island and will be living downtown. I'm really excited to meet some furries 'cause there's almost none here in the prairies. D:



This is Dinsu, my fursona.  :birdy: (my name IRL is Dionne, just fyi)
She is a Somau, an 'alien' species I made up for the novel I'm writing (but she's basically a small-faced canine with MASSIVE ears xD). I am currently making a fursuit of her and will be posting updates on my Youtube.

Hmmm.. About me... I love nature, making things, and video games!
I aspire to someday take fursuit commissions as a large part of my income, as well as various other art-based incomes (custom apparel, character commissions, teh pronz, etc.) I will be putting up my 'business' website within the next few weeks (Lacunawolf Productions).
I'm taking animation (prospectively) at Emily Carr and someday want to try my hand at CGI or video game art.
After school I will be WWOOFing for a year or so.. I'd like to meet others who are also interested in this experience. (if you don't know what WWOOF is, check it out! http://www.wwoof.ca/node/19 )

Also, I am a Vegan, and though I don't press my beliefs on anyone in any way, I would be so excited to meet a vegetarian/vegan/alternative diet furry in the Vancouver area. :D So please let me know if you are, and we can go out to dinner. ;)

Welcome to Vancouver, Dinsu!   I think you'll like it here. 
There are at least two other vegan Vancouver furs of whom I am aware.
My parents both came from Saskatchewan (mom from Saskatoon, dad from Regina), so it can't be all that bad.

Hello everyone! :3 Thanks for all the nice comments!

@Daryll - Yay! I definitely should. Are there any furry potlucks or anything like that? I could make some raw vegan pie for everyone! :'D

So what is there to do in Vancouver? And do any of you go to Howloween or Rainfurrest? Eventually I'd like to set up a carpool to Further Confusion.
And who has suits? Can I see them? :O
