Had a really rotten sleep, so I decided to have a nap. Ended up turning into "Aleria sleeps all day" Oh well. Now maybe I can get my chores done >.<

Kinda happened to me too... the wind woke me up at 3:30am and I didn't get back to sleep for another two hours - wanted to get up at 9am to get some story writing done and maybe have a couple of roleplays on Skype, but ended up sleeping in until mid-day due to lost sleep by the storm.
Add in the fact the smoke alarm down the hall kept 'chirping' every 35 seconds because the battery was running out, I was not a happy fox.

Was supposed to have 4 friends show up to bake with me all day and only 1 showed in the afternoon for 2 hrs till she had to go to work. :< Disappointed with my others friends for not telling me before today that they couldn't make it (two of them definitely could have told me beforehand). I was really looking forward to hanging out with only my girl friends for the first time in, well, years. :\ I had been looking forward to this day since we all planned it together and it didn't feel good. v.v;; On the plus side, at least my one friend made it despite working at 4pm (was very appreciated). ^^;;

But yeah, lately I've just been feeling really disappointed with people which sucks since it's almost Christmas. Usually I'm in very high spirits and nothing can get me down. I feel stuck in a hole that I can't get out of. v.v

Aw that sucks when your friends are flakes like that :-\

something that bugs me is people that can't, don't or just refuse to put either spaces or a period at the end of their sentences.  by doing one or the other it breaks up the thought so that the reader knows when to read the next few words as a new sentence.  sometimes the following words could go with the previous words but then they don't make sense, so you have to go back and re-read what was written so that you can take the time to figure out where the one sentence ends and the next begins.

No such feelings on capitalization? :P Sorry. :) I would advise against reading anything by Saramago...fantastic, fantastic author, nooooo punctuation to speak of.

Been looking at how I'm going to get home from Seattle after FC. Victoria Clipper, Amtrak, Greyhound and Bolt Bus are out of the equation - as is Washington State Ferries combined with public transit. Quick Shuttle seems to be the only realistic option - leaving SeaTac at 15:00 and arriving at River Rock Casino at 19:05 - meaning I have to take the 21:00 ferry back to Victoria and won't be home until almost midnight.

I wonder if any other furs are going to be driving to Vancouver from SeaTac after FC on Tuesday... guess I'll have to post on the FC forums.

I really dislike it when people whine to get free art out of me. I posted a macro/micro pic of my character and a commissioners character last night. Over on SF I got a comment like "I really want to **** you Zenia!" so I played it off and was like "Well, pics like this are only $5!"... as getting a doodle commission of my character is free and they just pay for their character. Then they go "If I knew you IRL would it be free?" so I said "*shruuuuuuugs*" not knowing what to say, as he is giving off a 'I want to have actual real sex with you!' vibe. Then this morning I have a new message saying something like "Would it kill you to do a freebie? Just this once?!"

... I do freebies all the time. However, there are stipulations.
- You have a general "can someone please make me a picture of my character?" thread on a forum I go to and I see it and want to draw it. If you are polite you get a real picture, if you are rude, you get a stupid picture (nsfw).
- I go searching around the recent submissions (or search for random keywords) and see a character that I want to draw and just do it.
- People can ask for things on my clean or adult Tumblrs... just no OCs unless they commission those (my character is free) for $5 each.

If I just did freebies for everyone that asked me directly, I would only be doing free art. I like my freebies to be presents.

The only major problem I have with Linux is the sheer number of places applications store their own lists of default applications.
I'm trying to track down exactly which application is trying to launch Chromium as its default browser, instead of my preferred Google Chrome... =>.<=

Well, while that was an option, it's not one I'd particularly appreciate.

It turns out that while I'd told my desktop environment of choice about Chrome (Xfce, not Gnome or KDE), and told several sub-systems about it, I hadn't made Google Chrome set up the defaults.
Doing that fixed the issue. =^.^=
