Blunt, honest and to the point, I like your style and I gotta agree. Not just on any sort of happenings as of late, I mean throughout the fandom as a whole. Its hard to find really thought out topics that do invoke a deeper response that don't go belly up at the first sign of a different view point that doesn't agree. If we for ever shield ourselves from everything out there that doesn't jive with us rather than finding a way to deal with it, we will for ever have an Achilles heel socially.

It's to do with timing, mate. With all due neutrality, there's a time for everything in terms of posting your point out, and at that time, man, it was fuel to the fire.

I just had to throw out an entire smoothie because I tried adding one single tiny fish oil pill to it thinking it wouldn't affect the flavor noticeably and that it would be a nice way to boost my omega 3 intake. BAD IDEA eugh it was so gross, the flavor of fish overpowered the flavor of the fruit and it made me want to vomit. I think my fish oil pills must be rancid or something because even though they don't expire for another year their flavor is so strong that when I take them I can taste fish when I burp (oh they also make me burp) for about 8 hours, in fact the flavor of the fish oil is so potent, that I cant taste it a little bit in the second smoothie I made even though I washed the blender (without soap) immediately after dumping out the first one.

This thread is to discuss things we feel the need to complain about. My complaint is about people who are unable to tolerate opposing views and feel the need to censor others to shield themselves and their weaknesses. That thread may be correlated to my argument however the specific topic of discussion is not a concerning factor.

Let's not relive that nightmare.

What nightmare? The fact that someone took your topic of discussion and disagreed with your point of view? YOU wanted to have a race related discussion. You started the whole line of discussion. Just because you cant handle it when it gets a little heated doesn't mean everyone needs to be censored. You don't get to claim some moral high ground Ex Post Facto.

Your argument is invalid. In a forum style discussion in which the participants all post on separate schedules timing becomes irrelevant. As well, to say that I was fueling the fire is a responsibility sidestep. Its not my responsibility to censor myself in acquiesce to your sensibilities. Its everyone's responsibility to be able to control their own emotional reactions to things. If you can't handle a discussion don't participate.

Thanks Drake. I'm a very direct and honest person. I hate pandering to the lowest common denominator. You're completely nail on the head though. Some people need to nut up or shut up. I don't know how many times it needs to be said but if you cant handle your emotional reaction to WORDS you should just Alt+F4 and go sob in the corner. I'm glad you have the strength of character to seek out in depth and contentious discussions.

What's the matter? I'm not even offended, nor am I emotional about it. I was merely suggesting the reasons as to why one would be offended. Like I said, ad verbatim, "with all due neutrality". Please don't drag your accusation and authoritative exclusion from the topic upon me, or people interested in the debate at hand.
