Some VFUR Statistics

As a random whimsy so I didn't go insane with the orders tonight during the start of the Olympics I decided to pull myself a chart of age statistics of the VFUR, based upon the Birthdays posted on the calendar

Total entries: 230
Average Age: 24.24 (...I'm apparently the average furry age of VFUR to the *day*)
Most Common Age: 20
Youngest Age: 16
Oldest Age: 50
Month with the Least Birthdays: Jan/March (tie)
Month with the most birthdays: October

If there's any other statistics anybody wants to see let me know :)

Its interesting to see that your final figure was not that far off from my figure in the 22 year range. My statistical analysis was done using a list much smaller, (therefore not as accurate. Whenever doing anything where statistics like this are presented it is more accurate to go with smaller increments.) good that you did something more involved even if you were swamped with Olympic based traffic.

As far as another statistical analysis is concerned - It would be interesting to know how many posts are made for each day of the week, which days average out to be the busiest to the least active. Same for each month of the year if at all possible.. ( I am aware that this would require a lot of work and wouldn't expect anyone to really do this, just an interesting thought! )

Gender separated statistics are in progress. and my spreadsheet is getting far bigger - not to mention new data input into the, as well as errors in my previous data entry that were spotted recently.

At a hazarded guess, since I haven't finished my statistical analyses on the data yet, the male female ratio is a little over 4:1. not nearly as bad as most critics say.

This is what happens when you try and build databases during crazy work shifts. You make lots and lots of entry errors amongst others. X.x;

So I've redesigned my database for triple layered redundancy to catch the errors, and also factored in gender itno it. I now present you the new, more detailed and corrected statistics:

Total entries: 249
Average Age: 24.26
Most Common Age: 22
Youngest Age: 14
Oldest Age: 50
Month with the Least Birthdays: Jan/April (tie)
Month with the most birthdays: October

Female entries: 46
Average Age: 22.52
Most Common Age: 22
Youngest Age: 16
Oldest Age: 35
Month with the Least Birthdays: Nov
Month with the most birthdays: October

Male entries: 198
Average Age: 24.55
Most Common Age: 22
Youngest Age: 14
Oldest Age: 50
Month with the Least Birthdays: Jan
Month with the most birthdays: October

And if any of you guys are keeping track and realized the number of male and female entries don't add up to the total; that'd be because there 5 entries which didn't specify a gender in the calendar.

And since M/F ratio was asked: 46/198 is 18.85% or approaching a 4:1 M/F ratio. I'd say that's utterly incredible for furry as a whole.

Well you can't stop drama. When I was very involved with Anime Evolution and it's forums, drama was everywhere. And to see it here too is no different. As long as the drama doesn't involve me, I am willing to stick around this part of the internet, and the community. I didn't get involved with AE's drama, but it was getting a little too much.

Another statistic that would be cool, would be average amount of posts per user?
