Clear the air - I don't hate the forums (anti-drama post)

Hello everyone,

It came to my attention recently that a private conversation between myself and Omanashi (Rino) was posted on this forum in his own defense.  This was done without my permission or knowledge.

I want everyone to know that this conversation was taken out of context and was posted in seeming agreement with Omanashi's argument, when in fact I did not support Omanashi and his stance in the post. I was caught in the middle of things between him and the management of this board and I regret to admit that my feelings were laid out a bit less constructively than I would have liked, which was then pasted to the board by Omanashi as though I intended them to be here.

Since that thread has been closed and hidden, I wanted to clear the air for anyone who may have read the remarks that I was quoted as saying.  Again, I need to stress that this was a PRIVATE conversation which Omanashi did not have permission to post here.

I'm happy to entertain discussion if anyone wishes to speak on the topic of the forums vs mailing list.

I think that this argument over forums/mailing list could go on forever. ;)

Think forums are great for general discussion that not necessarily should take place on something that everybody ends up getting in their inbox. But they're good for large announcements of events and other such fare.

As long as drama doesn't start with me, you should see me lurking around the fur community for a while. I gave up with most of the Anime Evolution community after so much drama was happening with friends. I didn't want to get involved.

One person tries to put context to something that had none, and just as quickly the winds of the next bullshitstorm begin to blow.

The dramafest is ongoing, the only way it will ever end is if we learn to stop taking ourselves so seriously.

i agree, but this all could have been avoided if Torwin-pun quit trying to be the "cool guy" because he really isnt ^^ , and it makes me laugh cuz i look at him and see "tool" writen all over him.

It doesn't matter who started it. What matters is how you deal with it.

If you do nothing but whine and point fingers, people will think -you're- the tool. But if you come back from this and show everyone that you are more than what you have been made out to be, then you have achieved a victory.

Agreed, after Aphinity's post there should have been no pointing fingers or name-blaming. He was simply stating he doesn't hate the forums. Period.

This forum should be locked, seriously, this going back and forth is childish and I'm getting tired of it. Keep your arguments PRIVATE no one wants to read them and get stressed about them. Because it forces FRIENDS to choose sides, and most will walk away, then both sides think their friends are "back stabbers" when they'd rather not get involved.

Keep your argument and finger pointing private.
