With the winter Olympics just around the corner, a lot of the major venues will be getting quite a lot of attention in the coming months. For a little change of pace, I got to thinking about putting together a series of short little videos, perhaps ten minutes or less to be posted up on youtube, highlighting many of the not so well known areas around the Lower Mainland. Places like out of the way parks, communities, and things people can do that won't cost them an arm and a leg. Perhaps throw in a little history, details, the best times and ways they can get there without being snarled in traffic.

So far I have in mind to do is Dea's Island Park, Westham Island, and maybe the Barnet Beach Park. I'm open for other ideas if people want to offer up any.

About the only thing I have right now is a camera tripod, my digital camera and my car for getting around. What I lack is the software to put the videos and stills together. And someone who can help with occasional videoing, as well as offering advice.

I'm not asking for professional quality, but at least something that is presentable to the web while not sounding and looking too beginner like.
