Unfortunately, if we do not fill the rooms we have available, The Pound will be shut down as I will have to move as I am on disability and cannot afford the rent for the house. So furmeets and events will no longer be available, and safe-space and crash space will also no longer be available to the community if I cannot find suitable roommates, and I really don't want that to happen. So if you are looking, or know someone who is looking, please direct them here or to me, especially if you enjoy The Pound's events.

We will have three single rooms ready now, so if you're looking for a place just a short bus ride or drive (5 min) to the skytrain, we may be what you're looking for! We are clean, respectful!

Must be LGBT & Furry-friendly, 420 friendly

Location: North Surrey, Close to Surrey Central Skytrain station (5 minute drive, 20 minute walk)

Rent is $450 a month + split utilities + Damage deposit (half a month's rent)

The house has 5 bedrooms in total, 2 full bathrooms, 2 living rooms, 2 kitchens, front yard, back yard, garden space, garage (We use for storage and extra work space), parking in drive way, in the back drive way, and on the street both front and back.

*No Pets* (This mostly applies to dogs, please inquire for any other pet as this may be subject to change. We like dogs, just not able to have them/not adequate fencing. Smaller caged animals might be allowed, please inquire with any questions.)
* Drive way, back alley, back yard drive way or street Parking are all available
* The room available is on the lower floor
* Good neighbours, usually fairly quiet neighbourhood

We are looking for a clean, responsible, respectful adults. References preferred (former roommates, landlords, employers, etc).

Access includes house and yard as needed, but required to be respectful of other people's furniture and all other belongings. No one is allowed to enter other's rooms without explicit permission.

We have animals (Cats and a rat) so please let us know if you have an animal allergy. The residing animals are indoor only, and are not allowed in the downstairs area.

For those that are new, or I have not met yet, my house is known as 'The Pound', a name that was established from the variety of furries living in one home. I consider it a community house, that I have run from 07'/08' to present from various locations that I have lived over the years when I am able to. There is almost always someone home, (great for those with anxieties and not wanting to be alone in a big house). We host Furry meet ups called Furmeets, where people can hang out and feel safe and meet new people and chill with old friends in a comfortable, safe environment. We also have some parties of different kinds, and because of this, this house is very lively and not for everyone. We also have occasional Art Jams, D&D/Pathfinder groups, and other events and get-togethers each month, and we are welcoming to those within the furry community that need a place stay or crash in emergencies and special-needs cases for short periods of time.

If we cannot find someone to fill at least one of the rooms before my landlord does (which can be soon as he is placing ads and will be showing others the house), we will be moving. If you know anyone looking to move and are ready to move or ready to put a deposit down for November, please let us know so we can let our landlord know we don't have to move. He would like us to stay and is willing to let us stay if we find our own roommates.
